It’s been a very busy winter so far, full of change, and new plans, new music, and travels to new places. I’ll talk about that more in my next blog post and give an update on what’s new for all of us, but for now, since it’s February, I thought I’d write a few words about one of my favorite subjects – you guessed it! LOVE!
Love is a crazy thing. We all want it, we all need it; hopefully, we all give it and we all receive it. We know what it feels like when we feel it, but we can’t describe it and we certainly can’t fully understand it.
Anyone who knows me well knows that I’m a quote collector. Each day, at The Bretts Show, I send an email out to our staff with a quote of the day, and I have inspiring quotes posted randomly on the walls of my home office. They are little reminders of what I want to be and how I want to live my life. I’ve sifted through thousands of great quotes over the years to find a few that really change the way I function on a day to day basis – the ones that each time I read them, make me want to be better. I’ve never taken the time it would require to catalogue and organize my quotes by subject or theme, but I do have one collection that I have separated from the rest – the quotes on love.
Because Valentine’s Day is coming up and life in February seems to be surrounded by pink and red reminders of love, I thought I’d share some of my favorite quotes on the subject – little gems that make me want to be more loving. Since love takes many forms – familial, friendship, universal, romantic – the thoughts I share will cover the gamut. I hope that among them, you find a gem of your own. If you find one you like, let it sink in, and share the love! Here goes!
